Here is a simple example of how to create a pivot table in Excel that is based on some sales data. The data has orders, dates, countries, and amounts, among other data.

Below is a screenshot of an Excel file called SalesTabularDataFormat.xlxs. The data is in a table. I have added yellow highlighting to show that the order numbers repeat in a couple of instances. This is because an order can have one or many products.
