Excel’s AGGREGATE Function

The AGGREGATE function allows you to summarize values and gives you the ability to ignore values such as error values and hidden values. Suppose you want to sum a column of values. If there is an error in the column, such as a divide by zero error, the aggregate function will simply ignore that error and sum the other values, if you set the ignore option in the second argument.

The SUBTOTAL function is the older version of the AGGREGATE function. You can’t ignore error values with SUBTOTAL. You can’t ignore error values with SUM.
