Scheduling a Google Meet Using Google Calendar

While you can create a meeting link and email it manually, the most common and professional way to schedule a Google Meet is by using Google Calendar. This allows you to set a time, invite people, and automatically include the meeting link.

What You Need

  • A Google account (Gmail)
  • Access to Google Calendar

Create a Meeting in Google Calendar

  1. Go to https://calendar.google.com
  2. Click Create (top left)
  3. Add a title for your meeting
  4. Set the date and time

Add the Google Meet Link

  1. Click Add Google Meet video conferencing
  2. A meeting link will be created automatically

Invite Participants

  1. In the Add guests section, enter email addresses
  2. Press Enter after each email

Save and Send Invitations

  1. Click Save
  2. Click Send to email the invitation to all guests

Each guest will receive an email with the meeting details and a link to join.

Joining the Scheduled Meeting

At the scheduled time:

  • Open the email invitation and click the meeting link, or
  • Open Google Calendar and click the event
  • Click Join with Google Meet
