While you can create a meeting link and email it manually, the most common and professional way to schedule a Google Meet is by using Google Calendar. This allows you to set a time, invite people, and automatically include the meeting link.
What You Need
- A Google account (Gmail)
- Access to Google Calendar
Create a Meeting in Google Calendar
- Go to https://calendar.google.com
- Click Create (top left)
- Add a title for your meeting
- Set the date and time
Add the Google Meet Link
- Click Add Google Meet video conferencing
- A meeting link will be created automatically
Invite Participants
- In the Add guests section, enter email addresses
- Press Enter after each email
Save and Send Invitations
- Click Save
- Click Send to email the invitation to all guests
Each guest will receive an email with the meeting details and a link to join.
Joining the Scheduled Meeting
At the scheduled time:
- Open the email invitation and click the meeting link, or
- Open Google Calendar and click the event
