Figma Editor

The Figma Editor is just a large grey canvas in the center of the screen. This is where most of the design work happens. On the right-hand side, you see the Properties panel. For example, you can adjust the background color of the canvas there. On the left-hand side, there is the Layers panel. At the top, there is a menu.

Windows Keyboard Shortcuts

Below are just a few of many many. I got these few from usethekeyboard.com.

Selection

  • Select an Element – Click
  • Select Multiple Elements – Shift Click Click
  • Select All – Ctrl+A
  • Select Inverse – Ctrl+Shift+A
  • Select None – Esc

Zoom

  • Pan – Space + drag
  • Zoom In – +
  • Zoom Out – –
  • Zoom to Fit – Shift + 1
  • Zoom to Selection – Shift + 2

Cursor

  • Measure to Selection (while pointing) – Alt
  • Duplicate Selection (while moving/dragging) – Alt

Edit

  • Copy – Ctrl + C
  • Cut – Ctrl + X
  • Paste – Ctrl + V
  • Duplicate Selection in Place – Ctrl + D
  • Rename Selection – Ctrl + R
  • Copy Properties – Ctrl + Alt + C
  • Paste Properties – Ctrl + Alt + V
