You can modify your Excel workbook (file) properties to better find, document, and describe your Excel files. For example, you might want to give your Excel workbook a Title.
Below is a screenshot of part of Windows File Explorer showing an Excel file that has a Title. I right-clicked the column header and added the Title column. The title text is showing up because I previously went into the Excel workbook’s File tab, and then to the Info section. On the right side there are the Properties that you can adjust. You can also click Show All Properties at the bottom to show a few more properties. To show even more properties you can click on the Properties button (top right of the screen) and click on Advanced Properties.
Below is a screenshot of part of the Info screen.
When you create an Excel file and save it, Windows automatically adds properties to the file, such as author, creation date, modified date, and size.
If you click on the Properties button and then click on Advanced Properties you will have the dialog box open. It has several tabs. Below is a screenshot of the summary tab.
