Windows Audio Player Foobar2000

foobar2000 (often abbreviated as fb2k or f2k) is a freeware audio player for Microsoft Windows, iOS, Android, macOS, and formerly Windows Phone, developed by Peter Pawłowski. foobar2000 was first released on 20 December 2002. According to Wikipedia, at its core, foobar2000 natively supports a range of audio formats, including MP1, MP2, MP3, MPC, AAC, WMA, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC / Ogg FLAC, ALAC, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, AU, SND, Audio CD, Speex, and Opus.

foobar2000 is very flexible and powerful but has a steep learning curve. I used Windows Media Player (legacy) to rip my audio CDs to my laptop. I chose the lossless file format WMA. The files are however large in WMA format. foobar2000 plays them no problem. I have found that I need to spend time with foobar2000 to be sure the CDs are placed in the correct genres. I also find that the CD graphic covers are often not found. I search for and download the graphics files from the Internet and I can save the file in the appropriate folder and then attach the file to the interface.
