WeTransfer

WeTransfer was founded in 2009 by Rinke Visser, Bas Beerens and Ronald Hans (Nalden) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.[5][3] It was created to enable the sharing of large files (up to 2GB) free of charge.

Two gigabytes is the same as 2,048 megabytes. How many PDF computer books would that be? About 200 or so, perhaps fewer. It’s about 33 hours of mp3 music, which is about 500 songs, which is about 50 albums. 2 GB can store about 500 JPG photos. All of these are estimates and the reality can vary greatly. I made a simple PowerPoint presentation with some transitions between pictures that was about 200 MB in size.

Alternatively you could use Drobox or OneDrive. The only thing with those services is that the recipient needs an account at those services. With WeTransfer, the recipient just needs access to their email account. All files expire after 7 days. The paid account offers more security features, such as a password that’s required of the recipient.
