iPad Information

Do you have an iPad? Sometime you want to check up on it to see some status information or some other facts about you iPad that you may have forgotten. You might want to know how many gigabytes you have in the device, and how many you have in the iCloud storage. You many want to be reminded of the generation of your iPad or the OS version number. Suppose you have an 8th generation iPad. The OS version may be iPadOS 16.3.1, but will likely be different on yours. To find this out, go to Settings, General and About.

You can check your iPad local storage, go to Settings, General, iPad Storage. You’ll be able to see how many GB of storage you have on the device and how many GB you have used.

To check how much iCloud storage you have and you’ve used, go to Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap iCloud. At the top there is a graph. You can see how much you’ve used and how much you have total. With iCloud you get 5 GB for free.
