Enabling Long Filenames in Windows

Method 1: Using Group Policy Editor (Windows 10/11 Pro & Enterprise)

  • Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
  • Navigate to: Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → System → Filesystem
  • Double-click “Enable Win32 long paths”.
  • Select “Enabled”, then click OK.
  • Restart your computer for changes to take effect.
