What is the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI)? As the website says: “social innovation is about new solutions for a better world.” Regarding CSI’s mission and purpose the website says: “CSI catalyzes, inspires and supports people to create, develop, adopt and integrate new and renewed concepts and practices that put people and planet first. We envision a world where our systems – economy, government, culture and communities – serve to create a healthy, just, resilient & regenerative society full of meaning, equity & happiness.”

CSI has over 100,000 sq. ft. of educational and coworking space across 2 locations in Toronto, Canada. Sometimes people see CSI as an incubator and accelerator, sometimes a coworking space and community centre, sometimes a lab and an innovator.

CSI has a long list of core values and descriptions, most of which are people, planet, improvement, opportunistic, resourceful, nimble, humble, authentic, transparent, honest, happy, joyful, optimistic, focused, inclusivity, belonging, diversity, love, excellence, experience, expertise, leadership, and proactivity.
