Blockchain Implementation

How do you get started using blockchain? First of all you want to be sure that your specific industry is a good candidate to use blockchain. Alternatively you may just be interested in getting to know the technology so that you can be a part of blockchain implementation.

The next thing to do, of course, is research. Learn about blockchain. Try Googling blockchain. Watch YouTube videos. Udemy.com has some affordable courses on blockchain and bitcoin.

Have a look at, and consider joining a blockchain consortium such as R3. A consortium is, as Wikipedia defines it, “A consortium is an association of two or more individuals, companies, organizations or governments (or any combination of these entities) with the objective of participating in a common activity or pooling their resources for achieving a common goal.”

Hyperledger

Hyperledger is a blockchain framework. Learn more at hyperledger.org. There are a few options here. Let’s look at Hyperledger Fabric. If you go to that website and click the button Build Your First Network you get some specific instructions. The next thing to do is to clcik the Prerequisites link.

There are a few technologies you need to be familiar with. They are listed on the above mentioned Prerequisites web page.
