What is Adobe Illustrator? Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor developed and marketed by Adobe Inc. With this software, you can create and edit vector graphics. Illustrator has been around for a while now. Its development began in 1985.
At this site we have a brief post called Picture File Types for the Web that’s on the difference between vector and bitmap graphics. Generally, Illustrator is a program we use to create and edit vector graphics, whereas we use Photoshop for bitmap graphics.

The short course called Most Wanted Flat Design Techniques #1: Desert Island at udemy.com walks you through the creation of the desert island shown here. This is very good as he walk you through each step. If you are an absolute beginner, like me, you could try the next one (3 logos) in this list as it is a bit easier.
Learn Illustrator by Recreating Top 3 Logos – Beginner Guide. selection, direct selection, pen, text, rectangle, rotate, shape builder and eyedropper tools, check out the course called Learn Illustrator By Creating Top 3 Logos – Beginner Guide. Section 2 is called Understanding Illustrator Tools and Section 3 is called Recreating Top 3 Logos. He recreates the Google Chrome logo, the Skype logo and the Windows 8 logo.
